The Effect of Glycyrrhizin on Airway Inflammation and PLA2 Activity in Mice Asthmatic Model
Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the effect of glycyrrhizin on airway inflammation and PLA2 activity in the mice asthmatic model. MethodsThe mice model of bronchial asthma was built up. The number of total leukocytes and eosinophils in bronchoalve-olar lavage fluid(BALF) was measured by microscope. The PLA2 activity of pulmonary tissue and serum were assayed by the hydrochloric acid titration method.ResultsGlycyrrhizin reduced the amount of inflammatory cells in BALF and inhibit the PLA2 activity.ConclusionGlycyrrhizin can inhibit the airway inflammation and the PLA2 activity.
