Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the effects of Polygonum multiflorum Thumb., Adenophora paniculate and Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae in protecting liver and anti-aging. Methods Aging models were made by hypodermic injection of D-galactose. The rats were given intragastrically with the decoction of Polygonum multiflorum Adenophora paniculate and Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae at the same time. The morphologic changes in the liver cells were observed by transmission electronic microscope after 40 days. ResultsThe volume of liver cells of aging model group shrinked, the cell nuclear and the cell organ were seriously damaged. The volume of liver cells of herbs cure group were normal, and the cell nuclear and the cell organ were conserved well, they were similar in morphous to normal control group.ConclusionThe combinated application of Polygonum multiflorum,Adenophora paniculate and Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae plays the notable role in improving the ultrastructure of liver cells and delaying the process of senescence.
