Effects of Astragalus on Serum Lipids and Lipoperoxidation in Experimental Hyper Lipidemic Mice
Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of Astragalus on serum lipids and lipoperoxidation in experimental hyperlipidemic mice. Methods40 mice were randomly divided into normal group, hyperlipidemia control group, experimental control groups. Apart from the mice in normal group, all the mice in the other groups were fed with lipid emulsion for 4 weeks. After the experimental hyperlipidemic mice were succeeded, experimental control group1, 2 and 3 in which the mice were treated with Astragalus at dosages of 18, 9, 4.5 g/kg respectively. After 4 weeks, the TC, TG, HDL-c, LDL-c, SOD, GSH-Px and LPO in serum were measured.ResultsAstragalus could significantly decrease the serum TC, TG, HDL-c in the experimental hyperlipidemic mice, and markedly increase the level of serum HDL-c. Mean level of serum LPO in the experimental groups treated by Astragalus at different dosages were much lower than that in hyperlipidemia group, and the SOD and GSH-Px activities of serum in the group of Astragalus were much higher than those in hyperlipidemia group. ConclusionAstragalus can regulate lipid metabolism, enhance the antioxidation and reduce the lipid peroxidation in mice with hyperlipidemia.
1.3 脂肪乳剂的配制将1 g 丙基硫氧嘧啶于乳钵中研细,另器存放,备用。取20 g 猪油于40℃水浴加热融化,置于乳钵中,加入10 g 胆固醇,1 g 丙基硫氧嘧啶,充分搅拌,溶解。再加入吐温-80、丙二醇各20 ml,研磨均匀,然后缓慢加入去氧胆酸钠水溶液20 ml,研磨乳化,再加蒸馏水至100 ml。装入密闭容器中,冷藏,使用时先于37℃水浴融化。
