Abstract:ObjectiveTo authenticate the germplasm resources of Dendrobium loddigesii collected from different areas by RAPD. Methods The total DNA of D. loddigesii was amplified by RAPD-PCR, and the amplified DNA were investigated based on their molecular weight and amplifying distances. Results 8 effective primers were selected from 117 random primers. Some polymormic loci amplified from primer S2108 could effectively identify Yulin population and Anlong population of D. loddigesii. Conclusion It is feasible for identifying germplasm resources of Dendrobium loddigesii using RAPD molecular marker, and the stability and repeatability of identification results can be insured under the strict and normative experiment processes in RAPD.
