Abstract:The period between the end of Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China wasa time when the new took the place of the old. In Zhangjiakou, an inland city, the dress custom was facedwith great challenges. New custom in dress had presented its appearance, but the dominating one was stillthe traditional custom, which reflects the social reform in Zhangjiakou was not complete, and the regionalunbalanced situation was especially obvious.
